VOBC ORD190520.001 Section 3.E  “Notwithstanding the foregoing and subject to City approval and the right to demand removal if deemed a hazard to pubic safety, mailboxes and package delivery receptacles may be placed within City rights-of-way without permit as so long as they are installed in a manner to minimize traffic hazards and drainage issues. Property owners should consult the local post office for height and distance from the road requirements and related postal standards for the installation of mailboxes. Package delivery receptacles shall not intrude further than four (4) feet into the right-of-way or be places more than six (6) feet from or along the property owner’s property or fence line. Additionally, package delivery receptacles must be at least ten(10) feet from the edge of the road.
