Village of Bear Creek
The village is located in Bear Creek Oaks Subdivision (687 acres) in Hays County, Texas. Learn More
Note from the Mayor:
If you have lived here for 20 years or are just considering moving to our Village, you should know this is the Best Little Town in Texas. Bear Creek was incorporated in November 1997 to establish local control and gain freedom from the threat of annexation by the City of Austin with its high taxes and excessive regulations. We strive to be a common sense community, where neighbors do what is right because it’s the right thing to, without the threat of excessive Big Government regulation.
Please feel free to give me or any of the City Commissioners a call if you have an opinion or concern on any issues that you feel need to be addressed. You are also invited to attend and participate in the monthly City Council Meeting normally held on the third Tuesday of each month at the Friendship Creekside Fellowship at 14455 FM 1826 Austin, TX 78737 at 7:00 PM. Please check this website or the postings at entrance to the Village at FM 1826 for the agenda and notice of our next meeting.
I want to encourage each of us to work together to keep our Village an enjoyable place to live. Life in the Hill Country with stars at night just a short drive to Austin.
